University of Saint Thomas (between downtown and the Medical Center) and Texas Southern University. Houston Baptist University, Brazosport College (Lake Jackson), the Houston Community College System and the North Harris Montgomery Community College District (with colleges in Kingwood, North Harris, Tomball, Montgomery) are outside the Inner Loop area, but within commuting distance. The city of Houston has three law schools- South Texas College of Law (downtown), the University of Houston Law Center, and Texas Southern University. Houston also has two medical schools, Baylor College of Medicine and UT-Houston Medical School.
